Mobile Roadworthy – Safety Certificates (RWC) Brisbane Northside & Moreton Bay

Inspection on car for Mobile Roadworthy Certificate Brisbane

TEAM AUTO provides Mobile Roadworthy Certificates (Safety Certificates – RWC) across Brisbane, Northside and Moreton Bay. Our AIS‑approved mobile inspectors come to your home or workplace to complete the inspection on‑site. We assess cars, 4WDs, trailers, caravans, boat trailers and rideshare - Uber and Didi vehicles to ensure they meet Queensland’s safety standards before sale, transfer or re‑registration.

A Mobile Roadworthy is a safety inspection carried out at your location instead of a fixed inspection station. It confirms whether your vehicle meets the standards required for selling a registered vehicle, transferring registration or meeting other Queensland Transport requirements. The mobile service is designed to save time by removing the need to travel to a workshop, making it easier to complete the certification process without delays or transport hassles.

Whether you’re selling a car, transferring registration, inspecting a trailer or completing a rideshare COI, our mobile service provides a convenient way to meet Queensland’s safety certificate requirements with an inspection completed on‑site by licensed inspectors.

How the Mobile Roadworthy Inspection Works

Inspection on car for a Mobile Roadworthy Certificate inspection in Brisbane

The inspection covers safety‑related components including brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, windscreen condition, seatbelts and under‑vehicle items. Most inspections take around 30 to 45 minutes depending on the vehicle.

How Long Are Safety Certificates Valid?

Licensed motor dealers — certificates are valid for 3 months or 1,000km (whichever expires first) from the date of issue.

All other sellers — certificates are valid for 2 months or 2,000km (whichever expires first) from the date of issue.

You can use the same safety certificate to register an unregistered vehicle and then transfer the registration, as long as this is done within the limits above.

You will need a new safety certificate every time you sell a vehicle, even if you sell it within the previous limits. A single safety certificate can be used for one transfer only.
